It was a warm, sunny day here in Rockydale West and I spent the morning out and about with the Urban Sketchers. Above is my sketch of the Guitar Emporium in historic Ballard. Thank you Gail, Frank, Peggy (times two), Tina, and Steve!
The Guitar Emporium is now an art gallery, I’m told. But at the front of the building there is a huge facsimile of six guitar strings connected to pegs over a sound board remains, which totally makes that corner, in my opinion. That and the strange little house next door that looks as if it sort of appeared from another time and place and will at any moment recognize its mistake and *poof* disappear.

Looks like it was a great store. The kinda place I get lost in. Thanks for sharing your sketches. Yer Pal, Lurkin’ Lance

What fun to be out and sketching! We’re in for another blizzard tomorrow…

I can feel the moisture in the air.

Oh boy, what a lounge in the sun sort of day!
